Supreme Court stays Texas execution to allow for Buddhist advisor

The U.S. Supreme Court blocked the scheduled execution of a Texas inmate on Thursday, ordering the state to grant his request to allow a Buddhist spiritual adviser to accompany to him to the death chamber.
