Remorseful Russian agent Butina sentenced to 18 months in U.S. prison
A federal judge on Friday sentenced admitted Russian agent Maria Butina to 18 months in prison after the Siberia native begged for mercy and expressed remorse for conspiring with a Russian official to infiltrate a gun rights group and influence U.S. conservative activists and Republicans.
